[Gift] [April Fools 2022] An encounter.

So I was walking down the street one day
When I saw something I found neat (in a way)
A bit of an abomination, of sorts
With a cat and a dog at odds, of course
They seemed to be a bit... stuck
And I was thinking, what ew yuck!
The dog and the cat attached at rear ends
And that's only the beginning, dear friends.

There's an old cartoon that came to mind
and I was thinking "this is fine"
not that everything was burning
but the scene was quite concerning.
the abomination had a bee-
like cat, that was trying to get free
from a dog- of sorts- with a goopy head
in fact, I realized, BOTH were undead!

Whoever came up with this prank
I'm not sure whether to hate, or thank.
Two JellHeads, unhappily combined;
what an... entertaining? find???

The "dog" was wobbling quite a bit
The "cat" was trying to fly up from it
Yes, it had wings, so plain to see
and coloration, like a bee
While both looked freshly through the wringer
I think it wished it had its stinger.

And once I started passing by,
The dog seemed to want to try
To bark, if such a creature could
I know if I were it, I would.
The cat, it seemed, was occupied
In clawing at their shared backside.

At that point, uneasily,
An upset thought occurred to me
If these creatures were in pain
What did their maker hope to gain
With such an odd experiment,
Did the fusion happen with intent?

For what? I do not understand
What awful person would demand
This situation to occur
Whatever was this monster for?

These poor Jell-creatures, tired out
With little strength to turn about
If I could but help, I would
But who could say I even could?
I knew my local lab, of course,
But would capture take undue force?

I looked again, upon the pair
T'would be a shame to leave them there
But how could I even propose
To take them, let alone get close?
JellScientists could maybe try
(If they could not then I might cry)

But for this crime, would I stand trial?
I knew the concept could go viral
If not handled with finesse-
On social med- but I digress.
The problem now was these poor souls
Two halves unhappily a whole.

The two JellHeads, meanwhile
Considering each other vile
Continued to claw, scratch and fight
One small mercy- they cannot bite.
I will not stand for this atrocity
I plunge in with my own ferocity.

A single ambulance ride later
(I was fearless, screw the haters
Who said I should have called for help
Instead of diving in myself)
My story posted for all to see
At least the JellHeads are now free
