[Story Prompt 2 (Door)] Let me in!

The JellHead and its caretaker enter through the door, one appearing apprehensive and the other eagerly anticipating the "reveal" that this is all a big prank. To be fair, she is rather inclined to one-up the JellScientists, since her first encounter and despite most of them being some of the nicest people she's met. But maybe that's just her personality; she has always been rather prickly and abrasive, after all- though caring for the JellHead has softened her up a bit in that regard. Speaking of the JellHead…

Hey. You. What's with the wobbles? Would you like a treat?

It may sense something, but whatever might be going on, its caretaker is as much in denial as ever.

It's okay. Just a big house. It's fine. Y'know, if you wiggle too much a JellBean might drop off of ya. Given what I've seen of that JellLab, those things never leave you alone. You want that?

They enter a long hallway, lined with old portraits, and the caretaker scoffs.

Heh. X-ed out eyes. Someone's put a lot of work into this scheme. Seen it all before though.

The Haunted Train wasn't all that great, the Hallow Trail was mediocre, and the Haunted Hotel was pretty impressive, even given the cliches. But those were childhood haunts, and children are easily impressed by this sort of thing. Someone's obviously put more effort into this one though. Might deserve to be ranked above the Hotel, which is saying something given how effective that one had been… at scaring young, impressionable kids.

Hah, do they think I'm a child? It'll take more effort than THAT to scare ME.

---

Hey Molly, you wanna get a photo?

Should have brought her in costume. It wouldn't have fit in the pack though, and the JellHead would mostly have wiggled right out of it. The JellHead seems pretty keyed-up though- maybe bringing it was a bad idea, but the flyer specifically stated to bring a JellHead, and Molly was the only one the caretaker was responsible for- though perhaps there is a loaning program for things like this… something to look into later. One wouldn't want to push the dog past its limits when this adventure does seem to be stressing it out rather a lot.

Assuming JellHeads can get stressed out. Not clear how much current studies have covered. With this JellHead it's pretty clear though-- they should not be there. Of course, maybe it just wants the squirrel outside. But this adventure does seem to be making it rather wobbly, and the caretaker is worried now. She knows there isn't anything real to be scared of, but the JellHead is cleary not aware of this. Perhaps she should have left it outside. But the form said to bring a JellHead--

That sound is definitely not the wind.

---

Molly… Molly?

Molls.

Well, that dog is clearly never coming out from under the table again.

So a scary noise- what of it? But they scared Molly. That has to be against the rules. She is MY dog and I am going to give them a piece of my-

*CRASH*

Oh for-

It's okay Molls. Molls. It's okay. Look, I'm going to open the door. It's okay, we'll see the person behind this and I am going to give them a piece of my mind.

Of course, the door is locked, and the caretaker mutters a few choice words under her breath as she fumbles with the handle.

Gotta be something I can pick this with around here.

Everything is covered with a good three millimeters of dust, if not more. Brushing off the shelves makes a huge cloud of it, and the caretaker near collapses with a coughing fit. Cursing, she stumbles over to the door and rattles the doorknob again. That failing, she just starts banging on it.

OY! YOU! Let me in, I'm getting dust all over my dog!
